Your privacy matters to us. This page explains, in plain language, what information Oak + Elm collects when you visit this website or get in touch, and what we do with it.
Oak + Elm is a wedding and events venue in West Michigan. This website, oakandelmholland.com, tells you about the venue and lets you get in touch, book a tour, and sign up for our newsletter. In this policy, “Oak + Elm,” “we,” “us,” and “our” mean the venue and the people who run it. How to reach us is in the Contact section at the end of this page.
This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website and when you contact us, how we use it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. It does not cover other websites we link to, such as our Instagram and Facebook pages; those sites have their own policies.
Newsletter sign-up. When you join our newsletter, we collect your email address, a record that you agreed to this Privacy Policy, the page you signed up on, and the date and time.
Inquiries, tours, and bookings. When you email us, call, request a tour, ask about availability, or book an event, we collect what you choose to share with us. That usually includes your name, email address, phone number, your event date and type, an estimated guest count, and any details you tell us about your plans.
Please don’t send us sensitive information (such as payment card numbers or health details) through email or website forms.
Server records. Like most websites, the companies that host this site automatically receive basic technical information when your browser loads a page: your IP address, browser and device type, the page you asked for, the page that referred you, and the date and time. This is used to deliver the site, keep it secure, and fix problems.
Services that load parts of the site. Some of the design files and photos on this site are delivered by Netlify, and the code behind our page animations is delivered by jsDelivr. When your browser loads those files, those services receive the same kind of basic technical information described above. Neither sets cookies on this site.
Cookies. We use as few cookies as possible. Right now, regular visitors receive only one: the cookie that remembers your cookie choice. Our Cookie Policy explains this in detail.
We do not currently use analytics or advertising tracking on this site. If we add them, they will only run after you agree to them in our cookie banner, and we will update this policy and our Cookie Policy first.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own advertising.
We share personal information only when it’s needed:
Newsletter sign-ups are stored securely on our own website. You can unsubscribe at any time by contacting us, or with the unsubscribe link included in every newsletter email. When you unsubscribe, we stop sending newsletters and remove your address from our list.
You can ask us to:
To make a request, use the contact details at the end of this page. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on it, and we’ll respond within a reasonable time. Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights under local law; we will honor them.
You can also control cookies with our cookie banner and your browser settings; see our Cookie Policy.
This website is meant for adults planning events. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
We use reasonable safeguards to protect personal information, including a secure (HTTPS) connection for this website and limited access to our website’s admin area. No method of sending or storing information online is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.
This site links to other websites, including our Instagram and Facebook pages. We aren’t responsible for how those sites handle your information; please read their privacy policies.
We may update this policy when our practices change. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it was last revised. If we make significant changes, we will make them clear on this page.
